The Bosch 11248EVS is a rotary hammer drill using 1 1/8 inch spline type drill bits. The capacity of this drill is 1-9/16" solid bits and 4" for the core (hole saw) drills. You also have capability to use other attachments such as a ground rod driver, chisels, etc. in the "hammer mode".
